The Marine Council is a community based advocacy group supporting marine interests in Miami-Dade County. The organization is over 40 years old and has members representing all areas of the marine community. It publishes a monthly newsletter, TRADEWINDS , conducts quarterly seminars on topics of interest to our members (often for continuing education credits), holds a monthly breakfast meeting with a speaker who provides information on current issues, and gathers periodically for social events that give networking opportunities to our members. The Marine Council also has founded the Miami Maritime Arbitration Council (MMAC) to provide an alternative to litigation. You can view sample clauses for insertion into your contracts as well as view the complete rules for the MMAC. You can join the Marine Council online or visit a Marine Council member's site.
